What internet services do we offer?
Magus Networks offers wireless internet connectivity at various service tiers. These tier can be broken down into two main categories; Residential, and Business internet. Residential internet packages have average lower bandwidth capacity than their business counterparts due to the requirement of having to connect a higher average rate of users to the internet per any given time. The current services are expected to be expanded upon in the following months as the company builds out its new and improved robust network infrastructure.
Internet Services Client Equipment
The Antennas
A UISP or TP-link Capable 5g antenna for wireless connectivity to The Magus Network ( This can be one of two modules; The Ubiquiti AirMax LiteBeam M5, The TP-link Pharos CPE510 or The Ubiquiti Nanostation M5 Loco.)
The Access Point
A SoHo Access Point is provided (These are commonly known as home routers or internet boxes and are the points at which clients gain access to the network and internet therefore.) Magus Networks makes use of a home access points known as the AirCube ISP AP, CN-Pilot 195 or the TP-link Archer Router for both Business and Residential Networks. Clients are advised that larger properties may require the use of separate access points such as; wifi mesh nodes and wifi extenders and repeaters that can incur additional costs to their planned network setup.
The Power
Both business and residential systems power their access points via the use of a power adapter that makes use of a USB-C connector as its power output. These routers/access points in turn power the antennas via 24v POE (power over ethernet) that are supplied on the Wide Area Network (WAN) port on the device. This significantly simplifies and reduces the amount of cabling needed for both power and networking as one cable is used both for power and network connectivity between the router and the antenna.
The Installation Process
Prospective clients will be contacted by a Magus technician after signing up to schedule a date for a property inspection and signal evaluation. This process is important as the data recorded from the visit will directly influence the locations designated as feasible installation points on the clients property.
After reviewing and plotting the data the client will be presented with these installation points to pick which point works best for them. The client and technician will then schedule the date for the installation of equipment.
Prior to installation the client will be contacted 2-3 business days in advance for verbal confirmation of the scheduled agreement.
On the day of installation there may be one or more individuals or teams working to mount the antenna to its selected installation point, configuring the setting on the access point and performing the installation of the ethernet cabling connecting the antenna to the access point. The duration of the installation process may vary greatly depending on the location and as well as how limited accessible to said location is, however on average should take approximately 1-4 four days from start to finish.
The client will then be presented with a document containing their network information, gateway login credentials and Access Point/WIFI password. Clients are instructed to ask as many questions as they require during installation as so long as they do so in a manner than does not hinder the performance or efficiency of our technicians at work.
